Deku Scrubs are small creatures that have the ability to spit Deku Nuts at their enemies. They look as if they are made of wood, hinting that they evolved from plants. They played a small role in Ocarina of Time in which they were both enemies and salesmen. If you defeated a salesman type Deku Scrub, known as a Business Scrub, they would try to sell you an item that was always overpriced.

en the Assist Trophy is opened Deku Shrub Stays in place and shoots Deku Nuts. If a Enemy gets close the Deku Shrub runs away until it finds a safe distance. Smart enemy's will use this to their advantage and run them off a cliff. Deku Shrub fires about 10-20 Deku nuts before disappearing. Each Deku nut deals 5% and stuns the opponent briefly.
